Our Freeze-Dried Yellow Squash is cut into light, crisp and healthy slices! You can use them for any application that calls for yellow squash, including eating them right out of the bag as a snack!

 

Our Freeze-Dried Yellow Squash is produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. The end product weight is reduced by over 80 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of various foods.

 

When rehydrated, the squash will absorb the liquid and resemble fresh squash slices once again. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is preserved. Freeze-drying provides natural and additive free foods to be stored effectively for long periods of time, making them an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.

 

Shelf-Life: Freeze-Dried Yellow Squash will store for 20+ years under ideal storage conditions (cool, dark, dry place).

 

Instructions: Add 2 parts water to 1 part Yellow Squash. Allow squash to hydrate for about 20 minutes or until fully rehydrated.

 

Uses: Can be added directly to stews, stir fries, sautes and more. They can also be rehydrated for recipes or eaten right out of the bag as a healthy snack.

 

Packaging: Sealed air-tight in resealable Mylar bags (oxygen absorber included), then hermetically heat sealed.

Large: 1 oz

 

Typically 3-4 times freeze-dried weight when rehydrated.
