Our Freeze-Dried Bell Peppers are produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. The end product weight is reduced by over 80 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of peppers.
When rehydrated, the product will absorb the liquid and resemble fresh bell peppers once again. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is preserved. Freeze-drying provides natural and additive free foods to be stored effectively for long periods of time, making them an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Our Freeze-Dried Bell Peppers will store for 20+ years under ideal storage conditions (cool, dark, dry place).
Instructions: Add 2-3 parts water to 1 part bell pepper. Allow rehydration to take place for 10-15 minutes or until fully rehydrated.
Uses: Freeze-Dried Bell Peppers can be added directy to recipes calling for bell peppers or rehydrated before use. You can also snack on them right from the bag!
Packaging: Sealed air-tight in resealable Mylar bags (oxygen absorber included). Bag size is 6 x 11 x 3 inches. Total package weight is 1.3 ounces.
